First and foremost we'd like to extend our congrats and best wishes to one Moxie mama and daddy on the birth of their new beautiful baby boy. They brought him home on January 1st — is there honestly any better way to ring in the New Year?

I was so excited to start off a New Year not pregnant myself for the first time since January 2002! In January 2003, we didn't know it yet, but I was barely pregnant with the twins. In January 2004, I was so very, very pregnant and just over a month away from delivery. And in January 2005, I was entering the second trimester although my head was down the toilet just the same and I didn't even get the courtesy of an empty bottle of Ballatore beforehand. Having been several years since holding a champagne flute, I'd forgotten just how good the blessed bubbly actually tasted! Somebody hold me.

I hope everyone is having an amazingly fantastic 2006 thus far. Three cheers for happiness, health and wealth!
