[missing the beach]

The above photo was taken on May 18, 2002, at Clearwater Beach with an Olympus Accura 35mm point-and-shoot. This is one of those days I'd just about sell my soul to be lying on the beach (well, except for that whole "red tide" thing going on right now)... So since I can't go to the beach at the moment, I'm bringing it back for me. And well, you.

UPDATE: We're featured at Wired.com now!

Kudos to this year's photo coordinators and editors at the 'Thon! They've already taken well over fifty seventy photo submissions on just the "covered" page alone (over one hundred images total). And we haven't even kicked off yet!

It's not too late if you want to submit your photos to be on the site before the official launch. (Photo submissions also taken during the event from October 1-8.)
