The above photo of the George Lynn Cross statue in front of Evans Hall was taken at the North Oval, or Parrington Oval, on the University of Oklahoma campus on December 23, 2004. Perfect lighting and exposure was the last thing on my mind when the shutter clicked, because we woke up that morning to a windchill of 1°. (This photo shot the same day at Classic 50s in Norman should perfectly illustrate why more time was spent in the car by these three wussy Floridians than taking a leisurely photo shoot...) You might notice that ol' George is wearing a necklace of Oranges. Boomer Sooner!
It's hard to believe another year has already come and gone. The year 2004 saw the biggest changes we've ever encountered in our lifetime and save a few hurricanes, they were most certainly all for the better. We can't complain too awfully much about Charley-Frances-Ivan-Jeanne, however, as they did leave us quite a lovely parting gift.
Here's wishing everyone a happy and magical 2005 full of good health, much happiness and prosperity in abundance.
My latest article is up over at Tampa Bay DotMoms. As my belly grows, so does my nervousness and anxiety... I wouldn't trade it for anything though! Happy New Year!
