Eyes and mouth and ears and nose

[mister potato head]

The above photo was taken with a Nikon D70 at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World on Saturday, November 27, 2004.

Back to life...back to reality...after a wonderful birthday weekend. Plans were changed just a bit though. Instead of going all by my lonesome to the spa yesterday, I'm going next Sunday with Jen instead. Cannot. Wait!

Saturday we headed back over to the Mouse House to get in some early holiday shopping, and to take the boy-child to see Santa for the first time. I was amazed — he's at the peak age for separation anxiety, and you'd have thought he'd known the jolly ol' red man all his life. The instant I placed him in Santa's lap, he lunged straight for the beard and started curling his little, fat fingers through it. I hope Santa thought it was as cute as we did! The 'handlers' realized he was going to be ok and had mom and dad go stand about 10-feet away by the camera. The little guy never even realized we'd moved! He was in such a trance. We picked a great time to do the photos, too, because somehow we ended up being the only ones in line. We had all the time in the world with Santa and then some. The photo at left is a sneak-peek of one of the two we purchased.

Thank you so much to everyone who's sent birthday cards, greetings and well-wishes! I really appreciate them all. My first birthday as a mom was honestly more than I could have ever hoped for. It was a truly amazing weekend / day! Not only did I get a great head-start on Christmas shopping — I also hauled in the presents myself. One of my favorites being the new kate spade baby backpack / diaper bag (in grass green) that I have long coveted.

And speaking of things-mommy, my first article at Tampa Bay DotMoms is up! The direct link is here. Look for new articles by yours truly approximately every two weeks...
