The above photo was taken at Clearwater Beach on November 14, 2004. It appears as-was our 'official 2004 Christmas card' (text included). Last year we made two different versions of this photo public here at Shutterblog, but both were shot from-behind.
I'm quickly finding that it's a lot easier to get ready for the holidays with one baby versus two... I got our stockings hung on Thanksgiving night, and most of the living and dining room decor put out. We still don't have our tree up, however. That is so much unlike me there are no words. It's just a matter of finding the time (meaning, time without tiny little hands "helping"). Todd got the exterior lights up on Sunday afternoon. But of course we had a big rain-system blow through yesterday and that's the night that the lights went out in Tampa. So now he has to get back up on the roof and decode that mess... Considering he leaves for work when it's dark, and gets home again when it's darker, we'll probably be sans-lights again until Saturday. Sigh.
I'm only about half-way done with my shopping and I haven't even started on the wrapping. Much less the shipping. And even though this year's 'official Christmas card' photo has already been taken and is back from the printer (hallelujah!)...following a nightmare weekend of trying to get THE shot...let's start taking bets on just how long it takes me to address them and get them in the mail, shall we?
I suppose I could always quit blogging and start doing, huh? But that would require not being trapped under a heavy, sleeping baby first...
Bah. Humbug!
P.S. Next year, you can expect to find me taking my Christmas card photos in the above shirt. It's already hanging in my closet just waiting...
