Won't you gimme 3 steps - gimme 3 steps, mister

[these shoes are made for walkin] [and thats just what theyll do]

The above photos were tinted and digitally altered in Photoshop. They were taken this weekend as our big boy walked with daddy around the neighborhood.

We're coming off one of those relaxing weekends where we did absolutely nothing but lie around the house and take the boy to the playground and outside to play. It sure is hard to get back into a dull weekday routine after that!

Did someone forget to give me the memo that Patrick Dempsey is...oh, like...really hot now? One day he's riding around on a lawnmower looking all cute and Ronald-like — and the next, he has me ready to volunteer for elective surgery. And I'm not talkin' for the Demerol, either! My. My. My.

And what's worse than the sound of a cat in heat, claws extended on a chalkboard? A cat in heat, claws extended on a chalkboard, with Lisa Marie Presley's cover of "Dirty Laundry" playing in the background. I swear to all that's holy...if I have to endure that soulful screeching one more time on entertainment television...

Last but not least — meet my new toy that we really can't afford but just had to have anyway. It arrived this weekend. Hopefully soon I'll have a good chance to test it out. It came highly recommended on the Steve's Digicams Forums. After our trip to the zoo, Todd finally understood why I constantly complained of the limitations with the D70 kit lens, as good as it is in its own right. It's amazing what you justify "for the baby" when you shoot 50-200 photos at a time!
