The photo above is one of my mother-in-law's camilias, which at least until today were still in bloom. Please click on image for larger pop-up version.
This morning we woke up to our son's first snow. It was nothing more than a dusting, but it's sticking so it's absolutely beautiful outside. We haven't enjoyed a white Christmas in years!
The drive out was very uneventful, although long. I forgot just how far away from home we actually were since we've flown it the last few times. I don't suppose with one and one on the way that's going to last too awfully much longer. The older we get, the more we learn Dorothy was right when she clicked those ruby reds together.
My moblog has the only real photo we snapped on the drive out. Unfortunately we travelled through the "good parts" at night for the most part. Hopefully the return trip will have better lighting conditions...
We hope everyone is having the same happy, magical holiday season as we are full of family, friends, laughter and love. "There's no place like home."
