[Fox in Socks]

[Knox on Fox in socks box]

There are times we look at each other after a fun evening of playing with our son, and wonder just what it was we did during those 7.5 years of marriage before his arrival. He's such a part of our lives and routine in such a short amount of time. It's as if he's always been here...

Todd and I were both big readers as children. We each could read rather early -- basic words by the age of two, and beginner books at the age of three. So we're both more than thrilled at the interest the wee one is starting to take in his daily story times. He's already learning to turn the book pages himself - thankyouverymuch - for more, more, more. However, my thirty-something brain ain't as fast as she used to be and I'm realizing there's a very good reason the great Dr. Seuss put this warning at the beginning of "Fox in Socks". It's much more challenging than any college drinking game I ever played!

Through three cheese trees
three free fleas flew.
While these fleas flew,
breezy breeze blew.
Freezy breeze made
these three trees freeze.
Freezy trees made
these trees' cheese freeze.
That's what made these
three free fleas sneeze.

Dr. Theodore Geisel -- thank you for a lot of fun, sir.
