It's really hard to take photographs when you're stuck in the 10,000 Maniacs "Like the Weather" song. I wish I could say it felt fall-like outside, but it's actually more like a rain-soaked early winter cool. Florida weather has been so fickle this year.

But we had a break in the showers this afternoon, so both images were just taken in the nature preserve behind our property. (Not my best photography, but then it wasn't the best of lighting conditions either...)

I saw a beautiful blue-jay and was this close to immortalizing it while outside. My cat had other ideas. What are you gonna do*?
