Hey Andy, are you goofing on Elvis?

[moon pie]

The above photo was taken last night in our front yard. I'm renting the Nikon 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D ED AF VR Zoom lens and this was a handheld-shot.

This blog seems to be more of a vacation home than a permanent residence these days. It's just so much easier / faster to update at Twitter. 140 characters or less is so much less daunting to my exhausted brain. That...I can handle.

So what's been going on, you might ask?

Last month we took the whole family to New Orleans. Todd had a business conference there and far be it for me to turn down a free week's hotel stay where muffalettas and beignets are concerned!

Halloween has come and gone and my boys rocked the hizzie in their Blues Brothers costumes. I really hope they pick their own costumes next year, because after pulling off Iceman and Maverick, then Thing 1 and Thing 2, and now this — mommy is tapped of ideas.

Last week we all fell like dominoes one-by-one with the 'death flu 2008'. The boys are better and Todd is back at work, but I can't seem to shake that phlegming feeling. No rest for the weary though because I'm in the middle of holiday portrait season, and between juggling my schedule around for the trip to N'awlins and surprise-illness, I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see daylight. It looks like it's going to be another one of those years when the tree is lucky to make it up by Christmas Eve.

We won't even mention that I'm about to turn 36 at the end of the month, leaving my "early 30s" behind for "mid-to-late 30s". No, we will not mention that at all.

And thus ends another installment of my glamorous life. Without love, it ain't much.

"YES WE CAN!"
