The above photo (view larger) was taken last Saturday at the maternity session I mentioned in my last entry. It is quite honestly the most fun I've ever had at a session.
At the session referenced above, on Saturday I changed my personal choice for the favorite photograph I've ever taken other than photos of my children, of course. I had so much fun that day. Two planned hours at her home turned into four, with the likelihood I'll be going back for follow-up shots very soon. That day was incredibly busy for me as I also did an unexpected last-minute three-year old portrait session beforehand, and afterwards a few wrap-up shots from my second newborn session while I was in the neighborhood. (You can check out what I've posted thus far over at Flickr.) To say I was beyond dead on Sunday is one of the biggest understatements I've ever typed. But at least I accomplished what I set out to do and then some!
You might notice a slightly new look around here. I had to take a mental break between proofing tonight and do something else, and this is the end result. No major changes. I was just getting way tired of the purple!
I don't plan on having dual-blogs by any stretch of the imagination, but I was invited to beta-test Vox a few months back and didn't want anyone else getting my "Shutterblog" name over there so I'm staying put and squatting on the name. I've seen too many pseudo-blogs in Google and Technorati going by "Shutterblog" lately for comfort, lest ye forget I've been around here since 2002. So get some creativity people and get your own name. (Is it really that hard to run a quick search and see if anyone is using a name first before you take off with it like it was your latest, greatest idea?) Anyhoo, I recently added one of my pop culture rants...just like in the good ol' days...over at Vox if you are so inclined.
And with that, it's hasta-la-bye-bye for now. I have to go channel a lot of positive energy out to San Francisco tomorrow!
