The above pics of our oldest son were recently posted to our Flickr account (left photo, right photo). He has less than a week to go now until his second birthday. More and more each day all traces of "baby" are starting to vanish and he's looking like a real, live little boy. Somebody hold me.
This weekend daddy has been kind enough to let me stock up on that rare commodity called "free time" so I could catch up on my "Wholly Matrimony!" site. I started on the t-shirt section last night, which somehow has managed to stay a success even with all the neglect as of late. By Saturday evening I had completed eight new designs to pump new lifeblood into our Wedding Tee Store. Below is a sampling of half-a-dozen of 'em (both geek and chic if I do say so myself - duh, click to view) :
Next up, I have to start tackling the Destination Wedding section tomorrow. Hopefully TiVo will see daddy through!
After reading through the Nikon and Nikkor forums on Flickr the last couple of months, I decided to sell the kit lens that came with my D70 and had been sitting in the Crumpler collecting dust since I got my 50mm f/1.8D on eBay. I just replaced the 18-70mm with the 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro. I've always wanted to get a true macro lens and this is supposed to be an excellent portrait lens as well. We'll see if I can tackle it!
I just sold my Sigma 70-300/4-5.6 telephoto last night as well. In the upcoming days, I plan to replace it with the Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6D ED AF. Hoping that one will be a better "fit" for me. How did people survive before eBay anyway?
Todd's mom just booked a flight out for the end of February. The last time she was out here, and consequently the last time we had a "date", was October 31st. Only 26 more days until her arrival. But who's counting?
And next weekend we're being brave and attempting our first hotel-stay with two children. I got a heckuva deal at a Disney resort thanks to a Florida resident passholder special, so daddy took some time off work and the second birthday festivities will be spent with the Mouse. Whooee.
"I know that smell, Roy but what if you had driven all that way and Florida was closed?"
"Closed? Uhhh, they don't close Florida."
