The above photo is of a statue we have in our home. My mother bought one like this when I was a little girl, and it was one of the very first Christmas decorations I purchased when we moved into our own home for our first Christmas together in 1996.
If anyone has ever wondered if I've regretted not having a girl, this new "toy" from MyScene should help answer that question. It's the "MyScene Goes Hollywood Party Limo" (click thumbnail and scroll through the various images) complete with mini-bar and little plastic cocktails. And of course no Hollywood party-set would be complete without the "MyScene Goes Hollywood Lindsay Lohan Doll" plus accessories. Does the Lohen doll also come with bonus miniature STD testing kit and Geico policy?
Any parent that buys these for their kids should be instantly vaporized on site as the cashier runs it across the UPC-scanner or they add it to their virtual shopping cart.
What's next? The "Anorexic Treatment Center Mary Kate and Ashley set"? Just push a button on the back for projectile vomit. Miniature Ex-Lax not included.
In other vapid celebrity rants...check out these celebrity fragrance samples I got over the weekend. The copy with the Paris Hilton vial (or is it "vile"?) is not to be missed.
Todd has passed on another good photography link. This one involves photographing your television screen and how to avoid the scan lines.
And here are great tutorials on Photoshop's dodge and burn tools, and understanding the digital unsharp mask. And don't forget the Unofficial Photoshop Weblog and Photoshop Tutorials Blog!
BONUS ROUND: If you want to browse through gorgeous Christmas-related photos, check out the Flickr Christmas Advent Calendar 2005 Blog. I'm so excited that one of my photos will soon be added for December 20th.
