You mean we don't get French benefits?

[puffy little clouds]

The above photo was shot outside our house today. It was digitally altered in Photoshop using the (free) optikVerve Labs virtualPhotographer "Dramatic" filter and a few tips from the "The Adobe Photoshop CS Book for Digital Photographers" (chapters 5 and 10).

While looking through Angela's photos on Flickr, I noticed a link to a great discussion on "converting to black and white in Photoshop". (Someday...hopefully...maybe...my photos will look as good as some of the ones there!) I highly recommend checking it out — especially if you've just been using Image arrow Mode arrow Grayscale all this time. I think I'm in deep trouble for getting Michele hooked on the virtualPhotographer filters I found.

Todd just called on his way home, and apparently he had an amusing chat with his boss today. They're having a 'computer bootcamp' where he works the week of June 13-17. You might remember I'm scheduled to oh, say, give birth the morning of June 17th. Todd had already put in for his vacation time, but I guess his boss just realized what day the big event was. His boss — being the male that he is — actually asked Todd "how set in stone" this birth-thing was, and would it be possible to, ummmm, change it. Todd looked at him and replied back in true Life cereal commercial fashion, "I'm not gonna call 'er. You call 'er." And apparently his boss quickly realized you don't ask a woman deep in the third trimester to carry the baby just a few more days for the sake of a computer bootcamp. Disaster averted.

A few links just because I care — Google Desktop Search (search your Gmail) from blog.searchenginewatch.com and Larry's GDS Plugins.

And with that, soon Chili's will be walking through the front door with the man I love, so I'm outta here! Have a great weekend everyone!
