Darlin' don't you go and cut your hair

[the first haircut]

The above photo was taken by mommy on March 12, 2004, during our son's very first haircut. We took him to Cookie Cutters where they took an 'official photo' that was placed on a certificate with the first locks cut.

This past Saturday our son had scissors taken to his head for the first time. He had an absolute blast and smiled throughout while playing in the little car and watching an Elmo DVD. Mommy, on the other hand, was quite distraught. He looks so grown up now! It's amazing what a "little off the top" can do to a baby — they look like a toddler instantly! *sniff* But...it was time...

A few people have asked that registry question now, so the information is located in the sidebar for those who are interested. We went to Babies 'R' Us after the haircut and took the plunge — mostly so I could walk amongst the newborn items again and not completely lose it that my other baby's all grown up and savin' China.

My husband decided to torture me today and pass along this link for the new Fisheye Lens Lomo ("the world’s only 35mm camera with a built-in fisheye lens"). Despite my best intentions, I never have the time to update Lomo-Motion anymore so it's the last thing I need. But I waaaant it. The silver one is so shiny and pretty. And the gallery here is amazing! Le sigh.

Last but not least, as time permits these days, I've been pouring in a lot of changes to Wholly Matrimony! — so if you haven't been there in awhile, please check them all out. Much more is planned in the days to come... We're also accepting guest articles now, so if you have the sudden urge to publish anything wedding related (for free!) please get in touch with me. And...if you'd like to do a bit more than that (updating / managing site sections, adding content, etc.) we'd love to have you join the team! Just drop me a line for more info and tell me a little bit about yourself and what you're interested in doing. Any ad-revenue generated from the sections you manage will be yours to keep!
