I read this entry over at Dooce's with much amusement.

You see, our children were born on the same day, at almost the same time (if you take our different time zones into account). So they reach many of the same milestones within moments of each other. The most recent venture for both babies...solid food.

I was joking with my mother just today that if Demeter really wanted to introduce a great new fragrance line in their 'realistic scents', it would be called New Mother. Add a dash of baby powder, a splash of spit-up, and just a hint of puréed squash and strained peas. Spray on shirt, and voilà! You, too, can smell like Robyn for only $17.50 per fluid ounce. And you know what? Ironically, it's the sweetest smell on the face of the earth.

Now if I could just find time to shave my legs again...
